BOOKING

Please message via the form on the contact page, email, text or phone me directly to discuss your desired dates.
Rates vary ($100-160 per night) depending on the time of year, and there is cleaning and servicing fee of $60 per stay
A 2-night minimum applies for most of the year
Holiday seasons and long weekends have a 3-4 night minimum. Please check with me
Once we have discussed your dates, a 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance is to be paid 7 days ahead of your arrival, or your stay cannot proceed
Please be sure to read the terms and conditions and house rules.
Stays longer than 10 days can be negotiated
Each stay incurs a $60 linen and cleaning fee ($60 per week for longer stays)

CHECKING IN

Check in anytime after 3pm and before 11pm please
If you are able, please email, message via the website, text or phone advising your estimated time of arrival, so I can be sure to be home to see you get settled
The studio will be sparkling clean and well set up for your stay

CHECKING OUT

Check out is anytime before 10am please
The studio will be clean and tidy when you arrive. It is always appreciated when it is left the same when guests depart.
The departure list is in the orange handbook
If you leave something behind in the studio, send me a suitably sized postage paid envelope, and if found, I will post your property back to you

CANCELLATION POLICY

A full refund will be made if you cancel up to 14 days ahead of your stay
A partial refund is negotiable if you cancel 8-13 days ahead of your stay
No refund sorry, for cancellations made within 7 days of your stay, unless there is a local emergency or events which prevent you getting to Matarangi by road
If an unforeseen event occurs, forcing me to cancel your stay, a full refund will be paid

FACILITIES

The studio will be sparkling clean on your arrival. A full clean is carried out, and all surfaces are sanitised between guests
Linen, bath and kitchen towels supplied. Bring your own beach towels. (If you are an overseas traveller and/or do not have beach towels, please ask and I’ll loan you some)
Some basics are supplied in the kitchen and bathroom to get you settled but you may need to bring or purchase more, especially if your stay is longer than 2 nights
Your linen, bedding and towels will be sanitised and freshly laundered. A fresh set of towels is supplied after each 2 nights
Your bed will be remade with fresh linen, and a thorough clean carried after each 7 nights ($60 per service)
A dishwasher is installed for your convenience. Enough powder is supplied for 2-3 loads.
A small electric barbecue is supplied for your use outside on the deck. Please take care when cleaning it. Instructions in the handbook
Water is in short supply during the peak Summer period. Please use considerately
The studio is fully self-catering. Grocery shopping is at Matarangi Four Square mini supermarket, or there are larger supermarkets at Whitianga and Coromandel town, both a 30 minute drive away
There is a comfortable queen-sized bed, and great, hot shower
A handbook (orange folder) is supplied with all the information you will need about the studio and recommended cafes and restaurants, walks and places to visit
The green folder contains maps and brochures for local attractions
Feel free to sit anywhere in the garden. There are many chairs
Kitchen: dishwasher, bench top oven, electric fry pan, microwave, double plug-hot plate unit, jug, and toaster, and all the kitchen-ware you may need
A smart Television, heater, extra blankets, dehumidifier, fridge-freezer, block out roller blinds (remote control)
A sun umbrella is available, please ask
You may launder your clothes. Please ask. Bring or buy washing powder. Laundry must be dried outside on the lines at the rear of the studio
